Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence said recently:

“We’ve lost the battle on what the Second Amendment means. Seventy-five
percent of the public thinks it’s an individual right. Why are we
arguing a theory anymore? We are concerned about what we can do
practically.”

I’m glad Mr. Helmke was finally able to publicly admit that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, as the Second Amendment Foundation has maintained all along. Teddy Davis of ABC news further reported:

The Brady Campaign expects pro-gun groups to use the Supreme Court’s
decision in the DC case to challenge a gun ban in Chicago, the major
city whose gun laws come closest to the nation’s capital.

As a former Chicagoland resident myself (northwest & far west suburbs), it has been my privilege to develop www.ChicagoGunCase.com as a companion to just such a lawsuit.

It is time the people of Chicago enjoyed the protections of the Second Amendment.
